Barry reported the results from our Golf Outing this past Monday.  The weather was excellent (maybe just a tad hot & humid) but thankful for no rain.  We turned out with 32 Golfers and had a fine lunch overlooking the greens.

Followed by a good time playing a round of golf.  On the third hole you found Kevin and Maureen trying to entice the golfers to participate in a double or nothing.  $20.00 to enter and if you get the ball on the green you double your money.  However, no one managed to get to the green over the water which resulted in us collecting $220.00 for scholarships.

We did have three participants hit the green but the ball rolled off. (doesn’t count as a win fellows)

Golf was followed by an open bar and passed appetizers for an hour or so.  Then we proceeded to the reception room where a fantastic buffet was presented by the Pinnacle Restaurant.

We had wonderful raffle prizes and our wine was presented in roller coolers along with all kinds of goodies to eat with the wine and cheese donated by Maureen & Tim.  Bob Forstbauer and John Mc Fadden donated two super shot canon cameras, several golf shirts, and a golf umbrella.  The raffle netted us $940.00.  Barry & Charlie provided the giveaways at the door.

Congratulations to Alan who sold most of our $1,300.00 tee sponsorships.  Way to go Alan.

The proceeds from the event is $4,900.00.

Many thanks to all the golfers, prize & giveaway donors, wine donors, and everyone that gave up their day to make this outing successful.

Charlie presented Francesca with her scholarship check and Certificate of Recognition from the Elmsford Rotary.  Francesca attended Maria Regina High School and will be attending Yukon this fall.  She spent 12 days in Italy with her family and is now working as a counselor at a summer camp.
