In a time when a dollar can make the difference between having a meal, we truly appreciate the time and effort put into this fund raiser. We commend our INTERACT Club for their interest in service to others.

GUEST INTRODUCTION – John Gahn, a charming Irishman, was very happy to introduce himself as a Past President of the Dublin Viking Rotary Club as well as a Past District Secretary.
John was born in Africa to Irish parents where he lived until the start of the war in 1938 when he and his brother returned to Ireland to school. His father was a railway engineer on the coast of Kenya so they did not see much of their parents. John become a mechanical engineer and made his living as a matchmaker (fire lighters). He married and has four children who live in Hollywood, CA, Irvington, London, and Rye. He is currently visiting his son and traveling to CA next week.
He shared some of the activities that his club participates in such as; collection of old eye glasses which are sent to India, and stamp collections that are sent to guide dogs for the blind. There are 62 clubs in his district that sponsor a Youth Leadership Scheme. They narrow down to 14 Pupils that are awarded scholarships to Brussels for education. Every 18 months they have a Euro Meet which is similar to our Conventions. It was a pleasure to welcome John to our meeting and hopefully he too enjoyed the experience.
Happy Bucks Collected $18.00
Happy Bucks were collected to welcome our guest, and wish each other a very healthy, happy and prosperous New York.
Tim was happy to see new faces at our meeting.
Barry for 5 or six weeks to spring training.
Debbie who husband has family in Dublin promised John when visiting they would stop in for the Rotary Breakfast Meeting.
Lisa gave a brief follow up on the Pray Institute Outing that a few select students were able to attend with Lisa and Marikay. The students thought that it was one of the best outings ever and were amazed at how warm and welcoming Mr. Pray was to them.
Kim reminded us about our upcoming program next week on something that is very near and dear to her heart. As previously noted in this bulletinsMarcy Rydd will be presenting a program for us next week on Pets Alive. Marcy recently rescued 82 dogs from down south and has two shelters one in Middletown and one here in Elmsford.
50/50 was won this week by Tim who donated their winnings to the Scholarship Fund. He drew the three of clubs.
